Our staff strives to further our knowledge of veterinary medicine in order provide quality, compassionate care for our patients and detailed education for our clients. Read below to learn about our team members.
Dr. Tarantino
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Tarantino has been the owner/operator and sole veterinarian of Blue Ridge Plaza Animal Clinic for over 25 years. His expertise covers a wide range of veterinary medicine. His passion for Vet-Med stems from his strong love of animals and a desire to help them live long and happy lives. His German Shepherd, Girl, is often found tripping staff members as they move through the clinic!
Lucas
Technician
Lucas is Dr. Tarantino's technician, assisting him in surgeries and exams and providing treatments for our patients. He is working to finish pre-requisite schooling to apply to Vet-Med programs. His goal is to become a veterinarian and open his own clinic and rescue. He has two dogs and two cats.
Gretta
Receptionist
Gretta is our front-desk receptionist and face of the clinic. She manages our schedule and provides the best customer service possible. Her positive attitude and strong love for animals make her a wonderful addition to our team. She enjoys meeting and interacting with each animal that comes in the door. She has five cats and one dog.
Juliana
Assistant
Juliana is our vet/tech assistant. She assists in exams and surgeries and helps to restrain, treat, and run various diagnostic tests for our patients. She is currently in school with hopes of becoming a large-animal veterinarian. She has dogs and cats and a family farm with sheep, goats, chickens, and more.
Jasmine
Kennel Technician
Jasmine is our kennel technician. She provides daily care for our boarders and assists in caring for sick and hospitalized patients. She serves in the Army National Guard and has a bulldog named Gorda.
